How it works: every answer updates the estimate for the skill tested and for every skill connected to it through prerequisites, so the exam converges fast. When you finish, you can see your personal map on the VPA knowledge graph.

Prototype notes: convergent items place foundations, sentence, paragraph, source and organization skills directly. Composition, strategy and transfer skills are never certified by multiple choice; the diagnostic estimates them from prerequisites and marks them provisional until the first graded compositions. Placement logic: Bayesian update with slip 0.10 and guess 0.25, monotone closure over 374 prerequisite edges, next question chosen by uncertainty times graph impact.
